Workshops and Seminars
Shantiniketan never hops in bringing the moderns thoughts to her children (students) and keeping that in
mind there are always Workshops, Seminars and industrial tours and it works round the clock.

Picnics and Tours
Class-room teaching is not the only criteria she advocates. Bringing the mood of the hail and hilariousness we have shourt-time picnics and longtime tours to feel the days not long. |
Campus Interviews
Cordial tie-ups have been arranged with leading Industrial, Business and Technological groups of the state for campus-interview to feed the needy hours of the students. This is the only Institution in the Twin Cities with placement committee. Girls will be groomed from the first year onwards in communication skills, accent training, public speaking and personality development with utmost care to face interviews. |
Special Programme for Communicative English
Shantiniketan's pleasure is boundless in providing a full fledged faculty for the above titled programme for the welfare of her children with TOEFL and GRE under its fold. |
Scholarships
The college conducts a model examination every year for 10 th and Intermediate Students. Those students who secure first, second, and third ranks in the model examination will be given scholarships. The college also arranges for sponsor from the corporate sector for economically backward students with good academic record. |
The Audio Visual Center
The College has adopted the practice of audio visual instruction keeping in view the latest trends in teaching. Students from the Intermediate Level to the Under Graduate levels benefit from these equipment (OMP, Slide projectors, VCR, TV and stereo tape recorders) that have been installed, in a spacious room which can accommodate several students. The college plans to enhance this facility regularly. |
Sports
On Fridays the college has Outdoor games such as Throw ball, Kho-Kho, Shuttle tc. The College has an Indoor Games Room which is equipped with Carrom boards, Chess boards and Table Tennis for the students. The college also plans to start courses in self defence such as Judo, Kaarate and Tai Kwon Do. |
Counselling
Keeping in mind the growing complexities in society and problems which students face, the college has a regular Counselling cell. Several members of the teaching faculty offer guidance and help students in the areas of personal, social and occupational problems.
The Counselling cell also provides guidance to students on career opportunities, employment opportunities and prospects in higher education. News bulleting giving information and details of jobs and educational courses are displayed on the notice boards in the college premises.
Lectures and talks are arranged periodically for the students to acquaint them with the various avenuesopen to young graduates. Professionally qualified, eminent and successful speakers from all walks of life are invited to address and guide the students. |
Extra and Co-curricular Activities
The College conducts a festival of literary and cultural activities every year. The students participate enthusiastically in various competitions such as Rangoli, Handicrafts, Mehendi, Cake Decoration, Salad Dressing, Hair Styling, Light and Classical Music, Painting, Floral Arrangements, Embroidery, Anthakshari, Dump Charades and Dance. The literary competitions like Poetry writing, Essay writing, Creative writing, Quiz, Sanskrit Sloka recitation, Hindi literary Anthakshari invite overwhelming response from the student. |
National Service Scheme
The College has adopted Anthaipally Village , Thumukunta Panchayath, Shameerpet Mandal, R.R. Dist. For conducting Social, Health and Educational awareness programmes for the villagers under National Service Scheme. |
Fine Arts And Other Extra –curricular Activities
Apart from the regular curriculum the college also provides training to the students in Music, Dance, Drama, Arts and Crafts and Painting
- The Literary Club in all the four languages meets periodically to foster and train the latent literary talents of the students. Appropriate guidance and opportunity is provided to the students to express and develop their literary interest.
- Music, Dance & Drama Club provides opportunity to talented students to experiment with innovative ideas and participate in drams, dance and music, it also helps to cultivate and nurture their love for the art of their choice.
- The Arts and Crafts Club facilitates self expression through handicrafts and paintings.
- The college also trains the students in Communication Skills and Personality Development.
The training in all the clubs is imparted through discussions, mutual exchange of ideas and demonstrations. These clubs aim at opportunities for students to meet and interact with exponents in various fields of literature and arts.
